The prompt for my final photography project was very open ended. It could be anything, as long as it was a series of at least 10 photos connected by a concept or narrative.

My main throughline of the project was to show hero's journey through the growth of this character as it travels around a new environment. I used everyday objects to convey a sense of scale and danger for the tiny adventurer. A toaster becomes a hellish chasm, a shag carpet becomes a vast grassland, and an end table becomes a vista. I tried to also telegraph the growth of the character through it's expression and scarf. The scarf at the beginning is small, but becomes longer and more flowing, mirroring the experience that the small figure obtained throughout its hardship. There are many story beats that it experiences, from awe to danger to the points of rest between them. At the end, it leaves the apartment to experience its next adventure.
